Chester Harriott was a Jamaican pianist and singer known for his eight years as a variety act Harriott and Evans. 

He is also famous as the father of Ainsley Harriott, who is an English chef, television presenter, and entertainer. 

Ainsley Harriott, a versatile celebrity

Ainsley Harriott is a renowned Chef who begins his cooking training at Westminster College, got an apprenticeship at Verrye’s restaurant in London’s West End, and later worked as a commis chef.

Over the years, he worked in various London’s top hotels and restaurants and established himself as an incredible chef. 

Known for his amazing flavors, he was invited in the early 1990s to become a resident chef on BBC TV’s Good Morning with Anne and Nick.

Not limiting himself as a chef, he started to be seen in several cooking shows. 

He gained worldwide fame from his BBC cooking shows: Can’t Cook, Won’t Cook, and Ready Steady Cook.
